Are there any discounts on shipping?
Yes! We offer free UK shipping on orders over £80 and free international shipping on orders over £180
How long will shipping take?
We aim to process all orders within 3 working days
UK orders are shipped via Royal Mail Tracked 24/48, which typically takes 1–3 working days
International orders are normally delivered within 7 days, although delivery times can vary depending on customs and the destination country
Do you accept refunds, returns, or exchanges?
We do not offer refunds. Returns are accepted for store credit or exchange only, subject to the following terms:
You must email info@valulavintage.co.uk within 7 days of receiving your order to request a return or exchange. Returns will not be accepted without prior contact
Items must be returned in their original, unworn condition, ideally in the original packaging
You are responsible for the return shipping cost, and it must be sent using a tracked service. If an item is returned without tracking and gets lost, we cannot issue store credit or exchange
Once the item is received and inspected, you’ll be issued store credit (excluding original shipping fees) or offered an exchange if available
Order cancellations for immediate refunds are not accepted
USA Shipping & Import Duties – FAQ
Why has shipping to the US changed?
The United States changed its import rules in August 2025, including the removal of the previous de minimis exemption for many international shipments
This means that parcels entering the US may be subject to customs clearance and import charges depending on the goods, their value and the applicable customs classification
Will I have to pay import duties on my order?
We do not currently collect US import duties or taxes at checkout
As we sell genuine secondhand and vintage clothing, our items are often eligible for duty-free treatment when entering the US
However, import charges are ultimately determined by US Customs and Border Protection and may vary depending on the individual shipment. If any duties, taxes or customs/clearance fees are applied to your order, these will be the responsibility of the recipient
Will my parcel be held at customs?
International parcels may be subject to customs checks, which can occasionally cause delays
We provide all required customs information when shipping your order, but customs processing times are outside of our control
Do I have to pay US customs charges if they apply?
Any import duties, taxes or customs/clearance charges assessed by US Customs or the courier are the responsibility of the recipient
We recommend checking the latest US import rules if you are unsure about potential charges before placing your order
